Truffle, golden vanilla, polished stone. Summer 2012 colors

I rarely used make-up unless I had to for a wedding or other special event. I was, and still am, content to wear a colored lip balm and go. So I am far from the average women who decides to sell Mary Kay
Yet, I did decide to become a consultant even though I couldn't see myself wearing the make-up or applying it to others. I quickly found out that I could apply make-up on others better than I could on myself.  Even to this day I still usually only wear a tinted moisturizer, tinted lip balm, cream cheek color and a cream eye color when I go out. Saving the full make-up for meetings or one on one's with clients. I have now perfected putting a full face on sitting in my car.

Now for the eye look I choose for this blog. I chose these colors for a outdoor wedding I was standing up in. The Truffle color was a close match to the dress and the other colors I chose to highlight the eyes.

The colors I chose to match for this look was the newest colors in Truffle, golden vanilla, and polished stone. With Bleach Blonde Cream eye color as a base matched with the Steely eye liner. For the mascara I chose the new Love Lash waterproof in brown.

These mineral eye colors by Mary Kay provide a shimmery, long lasting and fade resistant that looks great on all skin tones. They are easier to apply and blend for a look you can make your own.

The Steely eyeliner will create unforgettable eyes and is fade resistant as well as waterproof and smudge proof. The mechanical pencil is retractable and comes with a built in sharpener in the lid.

The new Lash love mascara in Brown is now also waterproof and last for about 10 hours through sweat, rain, tears, humidity and swimming. This unique formula helps thin lashes appear fuller and lifted.

Now the look.

First make sure you have washed and dried your face. I used the 3-in-1 cleanser followed by the tinted Ivory 1 moisturizer with SPF 20.
Then followed with the face primer with SPF 15 and the eye primer.
I then applied Mary Kay's Timewise Luminous wear liquid foundation in Ivory 4.

Now for the eyes.
I applied the Bleach Blonde Eye cream to both lids using my finger which is my preferred method although others use a brush. The cream eye color helps the mineral eye color last longer and I love how it helps the  mineral eye color go on smoother.
I then apply the Lash Love Mascara Waterproof in Brown to the upper eye lashes only.
I then apply the TRUFFLE mineral eye color over the entire eyelid, blending it from inner to outer corner. I love this new color which I would say is a deep brown color although in some lights it appears purple.
Next I used the GOLDEN VANILLA contouring the lid. This is a cream or white color, although I would almost say its a yellow.
Finally used the POLISHED STONE to the crease of the eye. Blending from inner corner to outer corner. Applying to outer corner of bottom lashes. This color is a shimmery grey color.
I then lightly apply the STEELY eye liner to only the bottom of the eyes. This is a grey eyeliner.

I love how these three colors looked together. The truffle and vanilla blend perfect together for a unique look. While the Polished stone color adds just a added touch of color that make my green hazel eyes pop. Although this look is a little different than my normal natural look I loved how it drew out the brown color of my eyes. The Love Lash mascara makes my thin lashes look fuller and did not need to be reapplied through out the day. Even in this heat and humidity we are having. Nor did I have to touch up the eye colors or eye liner through out the event.

Over all I have to say that the Mary Kay mineral eye colors hold up to the claim that they are long lasting and crease resistance. Although I wish I could day the same for the lip color but that is for another time.
